These Southwest modern earrings feature my hand-drawn night and day desert scenes that are etched into jewelers bronze, hand tinted, and finished with silver earring wires.

For this process I hand draw each cactus design onto the metal using a paint pen, then electroetch the design into the surface using a machine I made from a 5 volt cell phone charger, salt and water. This process creates an embossed surface design, which I then hand tint to add color and dimensionality. I am teaching this process during my first 8 Week Jewelry Workshop starting in August at Yavapai College.

Please expect some variation is coloring as each is hand - drawn and hand tinted.
